Something Else Metamorphosis Skirt and Top / Ray Ban Aviators / Michael Kors Watch / Thrifted Heels / Marcs Bag

An afternoon spent relaxing at The Rocks after a day of meetings in the bustling city. Even after discussing a few new projects the biggest highlight of my day was trying bubble tea for the first time, a cute little gift from Jysla to help me cool down in this blazing heat. I didn't really know how to feel about it, especially seeing as Jysla didn't warn me how slimy the jelly-like pearl beads are! I've mentioned this before (here) but as my little sister and I were adopted by my Australian parents I'd say I'm more of a faux Asian when it comes to Asian food. I'm kind of clueless. I'd never had bubble tea before, sushimi kind of freaks me out (taste, texture and even to look at) and when Jysla asked me if I liked "taro" I thought she was asking about tarot cards... I still don't know what taro is but seeing as I kind of love bubble tea and how weirdly good it is this flavor is next on my list! I think it's about time I visit Japan again and immerse myself in their culture, cuteness and everything else that makes me obsessed with this place. Perhaps this is why I was drawn to this kimono-looking floral two piece by Something Else?

She Runs the Night

Posted on March 30th, 2012

A few weeks ago Marg, Sara and I shot an exciting ad campaign with Nike, which was captured by our talented blogger and friend Zanita. It was a freezing night down by the Sydney waterfront but seeing the beautiful city lights scattered across our black backdrop made the warmth come rushing back. I really love sights like this, and I can appreciate them ever more as I don't actually live in the city. I know it doesn't compare to New York City, but at least it brings back fond memories that make my heart race and cheeks glow with warmth - exactly what I needed this night!

The very best part about this experience so far - besides being able to work with Nike - is we get to show our support for a wonderful cause called 'She Runs The Night' - an event designed by Nike to motivate, inspire and encourage women to unite as a community and create a safe environment by running at night in groups around their city. It's the first of its kind in Australia and the girls and I have decided to take part in the run (which is 13km) on the 3rd of May at Centennial Park. For someone who only runs twice a week I can honestly say I've never run that far before, but it has inspired me to get back into optimum shape and I can't wait to see how far I can push myself. Perfect timing with Fashion Week fast approaching here in Sydney too.

I hope you like the more personal ads as much as I do, and If you're a runner I look forward to seeing you at the race here. I may need a few piggy backs here and there...
