The Peak

One of the very first things you should do when you arrive in Hong Kong is catch the tram up Victoria Peak to visit what is better known as 'The Peak'. At the top of this mountain you will find a stunning view of Hong Kong which offers views of Central, Victoria Harbor, and the surrounding islands. We didn't get to see its full potential as the only day we could venture up there was when it was overcast and foggy (just my luck of course!), but seeing as there was a cute ice cream store up there with lychee gelato I wasn't complaining. I thought I would take a photo of the tram ticket to show you the view you were suppose to be seeing compared to the very white cloud of fog we were staring at. And stare at it I did... it was a nice break from the intense amount of shopping and humidity down below so I took this chance to unwind, catch my breath, and let my mind wander, even if it was only for a few seconds. I think the majority of the time was spent wondering why I didn't pack more flats (I think the fact I don't own any sandals is starting to become a problem...) and what I could possibly wear in this humidity. Luckily I packed this white maxi skirt as it's one of my go-to summer staples, which I love wearing with these white oxford flats I've probably had forever. This striped cardigan helped to keep me warm in the brisk mountain air and instantly took my outfit from 'lemon meringue' to a 'grandma-sailor', which I'm still trying to figure out is a good or bad thing? I think this foggy view is really just an insight into my confused head space right now.
