It seems France holds the key to my heart, and by heart I mean all the locations I have ever dreamed of. You would think trying to find a line of tall, hauntingly beautiful trees like this would be easy but alas, nothing until now has filled that need. It seemed like Autumn was well and truly settling in across the French landscape and it seemed like the perfect time to stumble across this place in the Versailles Gardens. It was actually sprinkling with rain when we took these photos which made it all the more fun to shoot and didn't damper our moods in the slightest. A couple standing close by asked if it was our honeymoon, we laughed it off and said no only to find out it was in fact

their

honeymoon. So Luke being Luke went along and shot the exact same photos for them so they could remember this moment forever. Honeymoon or no honeymoon, Versailles is simply romantic and the perfect place to fall in love with its surroundings or the person you visit it with.

Next stop after Paris was visiting Versailles, the home to the Royal Palace and Marie-Antoinette. Luke and I had only planned to spend a day here but seeing as we both fell head over heels in love we pushed our schedule back to stay for an extra day. This was not the best thing to do as we had absolutely no time to spare, so changing our plans like this meant we had to race in our hired car from Versailles all the way down to Spain in a day. Still, "when you know, you know" and we knew we couldn't leave here without spending more time wandering inside its gates. On one hand there was grand mirrored halls and beautiful canals, and on the other there was little secret gardens and fields of tiny flowers hidden between each courtyard. Things just seemed to click for me here so finding somewhere to shoot this silk floral dress was so easy, like breathing or sleeping in. ", so I was so excited to get my hands on it first. The silk floral applique and tulle lining makes it the perfect girly dress to wander around the 'Temple Of Love' (yes, this is really what it is called) on a late afternoon in Versailles.
