After Spain Luke and I flew up to meet Laura and Bryce in Iceland where we divided our time between scouting snow, touching (and even tasting!) 1,000 year old icebergs and trying to keep warm in the freezing 0-6 degree chill. There really is too much to see in Iceland and despite its temperature I absolutely fell in love with its icy surreal landscape and natural wonders.I've never worn so many layers in my life (besides that one time I bought too much vintage in Melbourne and had to wear half of it back on the plane with me to avoid excess luggage!) nor sat in a car with heated seats before - a must when you've been tiptoeing across glaciers at Jokulsarlon lagoon or staying up late to spot an Aurora Borealis. And who would of thought mittens are ridiculously practical and earmuffs keep your head just as warm as beanies? Iceland really is a world within a world and I can't wait to share with you a place that had me in awe during every. single. moment.

I'm not entirely sure why out of all the photo diaries I need to post Biarritz was the first to make it online. Perhaps it was something to do with longing for summer weather or reminiscing about how happy we were when we fell in love with this beautiful beachside town. We were only there for a few days but Luke and I made the most of our time there and tried to squeeze in as much as we could. Each morning was as picturesque as the next, with a beautiful sea salt spray rising from the ocean and covering the entire mountains near by to give it a misty "Days Of Our Lives" sex appeal. There really isn't much else to do in Biarritz besides explore the shoreline, bask in the beautiful sun and chase sun flares for photos. I forgot we were still in France as the scenery was so different to what we'd seen up North so it's the best of both worlds when you can be at the beach but still order baguettes or nutella crepes. That is one thing we don't have at my hometown - crepes by the beach. If any of my friends are reading this there's your niche in the market right there. The fact I paid ten euro for one in Paris is saying just how desperate I'd be to buy one back at home!

I still need to sort through my Paris and Versailles diaries but I think Iceland will be coming up next! I'm trying to keep the order of posts in the same order as the trip we did, which you would know if you are following me on Instagram. Oh, and if you're looking at going to Biarritz we stayed in the perfect (and ridiculously affordable) apartment here
