Juliette Hogan Silk Shirt Dress / Jolie & Deen Coat / Jeffrey Campbell Heels / Vintage Quilted Bag / Michael Kors Watch

It's been a while since I've felt like dressing this way and I haven't felt the urge to wear my hair like this since perhaps year 9? I'm not sure why but I can only put it down to being an Australian who doesn't know how to dress like an Australian when it's summer. Our style constantly revolves around our warm climate and beautiful beaches, and I think I've always struggled to feel like myself when it's so hot all you want to wear is a tiny bikini, if that. I really feel the most comfortable with myself when I can layer my collared shirts and double-breasted coats, which is weird to think I feel more feminine and empowered being completely covered from head to toe. I suppose for me it's not about showing a lot of skin but more so about being comfortable in it, which seems to be during Autumn/Winter. Do I sound completely crazy here or do you have particular seasons you feel you dress more like yourself? I think Juliette Hogan has made it too easy to fall back in love with my old wardrobe and I'm obsessed with this silk maxi shirt dress, which has me experimenting with lengths and mixing wine and gold tones with my new favourite coat. Only accessory this outfit is missing is a glass of red wine to finish off my ensemble and help start the weekend!

Lover's Garden

Juliette Hogan Silk Shirt / Lover Skorts / Christian Louboutin Pigalle Heels / Michael Kors Watch / Vintage Bag / Dior Rouge Lipstick in Fantastic Plum

After a few very painful months of patiently waiting for Net-A-Porter to restock these Christian Louboutin Pigalle Heels I was over the moon to see the few they had left were in my size. Now, all the pain I've endured is trying to break them in before Fashion Week that starts in Sydney in just under two weeks time. Luckily it only took one afternoon, and now they could not fit more perfectly or comfortably. I think I've always been one of those strange girls who can walk better the higher the heel, although after a few drinks this theory gets completely washed down the drain. This 120mm heel is a breeze to walk in and I think for my next pair I could go even higher (sans alcohol). These heels practically go with everything so here I paired them with these wine pleated skorts by Lover and a beautiful floral silk shirt by Juliette Hogan. Wine, khaki, orange and cream - one colour pallet I never thought would work but obviously does when it's done Juliette's way, and mixed with a touch of Lover and a romantic, vine entangled garden.
