All About Eve Two Piece Swimsuit / American Apparel Hat and Nail Polish / Benah Rose Gold Cuffs

Just a few photos from the weekend spent with Luke, some juicy watermelon and a neon purple hat that seems to burn not only my eyes but also my camera lens. I think sometimes I focus too much on where I want to go and what I want to do, and forget how beautiful our very own hometown of Terrigal is. This little haven of water is where I spent my earlier high school years running around after school, climbing rocks, pretending to be eaten by sharks (so odd but sadly true) and basically burning off all the extra energy I seemed to have. Seeing as my parents owned the local lolly shop for 8 years I was borderline hyperactive

most of the time, which also explains why I have such a big sweet tooth! Nine fillings, two root canals and one tooth removed later, I can safely say my sugar addiction is very, very expensive and the price I pay for all of my sickly sweet foodstagrams. At least I opted for the healthier fruit option here and left the sugar to my candy coloured nails and a very sweet floral two piece. Not sure how long it's going to last but a boyfriend in a floppy neon hat is a pretty good distraction for now.

Dion Lee Top / Lilya Skirt / Jolie & Deen Coat / Miu Miu Heels / Vintage Bag

Here are a few of my favourite new purchases mixed in with some of my most beloved staple pieces and some afternoon sunlight. This silk top by Dion Lee is not just your normal collared top, with its simple yet structured cut out shoulder detail reflecting exactly what Dion is famous for. Unexpected yet completely versatile and caters to not just one particular style. Here I've taken a softer approach by styling it with a polka dot skirt, ankle socks, my Miu Miu loafers and my absolute favourite new coat I picked up in a little store called Jolie & Deen on Chapel Street in Melbourne. When it comes to coats the one tip of advice I can give you is never hesitate when you see a beautiful one. They're the one investment piece that their functionality really exceeds any price you pay, and all of my wool coats have only been around the $200 mark. Functional and completely affordable, two things that are so hard to come by these days. After searching for the perfect navy coat for years now it's no surprise I haven't taken this off since I got my excited little hands on it. I think you know you're obsessed when you wear it over your pajamas to do the grocery shopping or over your bikini at the beach when it starts to get cold in the late afternoon, which is something I probably shouldn't have told you...
