As Sydney Fashion Week begins next Monday I decided to clear out my hard drive as I knew my computer would have a meltdown trying to handle all the photos taken during the week, thus resulting in myself having a meltdown in the middle of the night. Trust me, a sleep deprived and dehydrated girl (why is there only ever sparkling water at fashion week? I thought water was the one necessity that didn't need to be fancy) with blisters on her feet and no room on her hard drive is a complete monster to come across during Fashion Week. It's never pretty.

So I stumbled across these outtakes from this shoot we did for grazia.it and thought it would be the perfect way to show some behind the scenes and how inconventently adorable it is having Yumi photobomb every tenth frame we shoot. Plus she's literally four, maybe five times bigger than last time you saw her with her snow white fur turning dark shades of grey with little pops of orange. She's even walking across my keyboard as I type this post, demanding attention (she's a girl, after all) and wondering why we aren't asleep yet. How is it possible to love something so much that is so small, can't talk and is covered in hair? Must be those eyes...

Just a few things that have recently made their way into my wardrobe. I've always been obsessed with any sort of floral applique so I actually squealed when I found these yellow gold cap toe heels on Topshop. It was one of those days where one click led to another and I somehow had found my way onto the Topshop site just as they released new stock. It's all about timing and impulsive buying these days! I love the gold cap toe look but to be honest it's already been so overdone (and spring hasn't even arrived in Australia yet!) but I thought this was a good enough version to excuse it, especially if it's subtle and hiding amongst yellow satin and sequin flowers. I bought them to match my yellow flower embroided pencil skirt from ASOS because I'm dorky like that and I'm too excited about the thought of spring just around the corner. Might wear it with my vintage Lea Stein cat brooch just to keep the 60's housewife inside me alive.
