supermoon

Posted on April 29th, 2013

When I was younger I thought I was going to be an astronomer when I grew up. This stemmed from my fascination for the stars, the light of the moon and the overwhleming thought of infinite space. As I grew up I quickly found out after studying Biology that being an astronomer wasn't for me, but my fascination for the constellations never faded in the slightest. On nights like these it's hard not to feel like my younger self again as I sit here in awe of the universe's subtle beauty. The only difference now is I'm not sitting on my driveway star gazing alone, but instead joined by my love at the beach while I catch glimpses of his smiling face in the silver moonlight as it's being cast across the ocean by this absurdly beautiful moon. Technically it wasn't a supermoon, but I mixed photos we took the other night of this larger-than-normal-sized-moon with photos Luke took of the supermoon last year. Can you even spot the difference?

marcs

In the middle of packing for NYFW, celebrating my birthday yesterday and trying to edit hundreds of photos from Queensland, it seems this exciting project with Marcs couldn't have come at a more frantic time! But that's exactly how I like it and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you've been following my blog for a while you would have noticed me wearing Marcs pieces over the years so you can imagine how thrilled I was when they asked Zanita and myself to shoot their new AW campaign. What draws me to Marcs the most is their ability to create classic pieces with a youthful edge, which makes it easy for women of many ages to style with their wardrobes for work, weekends and meetings. Classic pea coats will always dominate my wardrobe and Marcs are one of only a few Australian high street retailers who provide a well made coat in not only classic, but colourful shades for Autumn/Winter. I think I'll definitely need to be investing in some more as I head to New York's chilly -4 degree winter this week. Wish me luck!
